Students Resources
In addition to the University's outstanding facilities, you may choose to develop your skills in the laboratories of the Food and Drug Administration, Smithsonian Institution, National Institutes of Health, Patuxent Wildlife Research Center, or the Beltsville Agricultural Research Center (BARC) of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. You may be interested in working with the many Farm Centers such as the Wye Research Center, Crane Aquaculture Center, or the Lower Eastern Shore Educational Research Center. The National Agricultural Library, National Library of Medicine, Library of Congress, National Archives Annex, and approximately 500 other specialized libraries in the area supplement the University's excellent resource facilities.
Many of these institutions have members who are adjunct faculty members or have served on graduate education committees, enabling them to offer students first-hand experience on their research programs.
