Teaching:

ANSC 327 Molecular and Quantitative Animal Genetics (Spring, 3 credits, co-taught with Hamza and Douglass)
Classical, molecular, and population genetics with emphasis on animal systems. Molecular approaches for manipulating genetics at the whole animal level (transgenesis and cloning).

BIOM 601 Biostatistics I (Fall, 4 credits)
Estimation and hypothesis testing, t tests, one- and two-way analysis of variance, regression, analysis of frequency data. Emphasis is placed on the uses and limitations of the methodologies in the biological sciences. Laboratory hours emphasize the use of statistical software for the analysis of biological data.

ANSC 6XX Quantitative Genetics (Fall, 3 credits, forthcoming in 2007)
Population-level changes in gene frequencies, genetic resemblance between individuals, selection theory, advanced statistical methods for prediction of breeding values, incorporation of novel techniques into breeding programs. Contents are suitable for breeders and geneticists in the animal and plant science, forestry, and fisheries.
