Majeskie. - Food Production without Water Pollution "Historically, many nutritionists recommended that livestock be fed extra nitrogen-containing protein and phosphorus to provide a 'margin of error,' designed to maximize production and guarantee animal health and reproductive performance," says Dr. Rick Kohn. "However, scientific research has shown that livestock can be fed rations that provide a better balance of amino acids, minerals in more digestible forms, and other improvements. Adding excess nutrients is unnecessary to maximize production and in fact, eliminating them could reduce feeding costs."
